    Arm's values

Self-made products encourage a unique, creative lifestyle while being responsible and respecting other cohabitants, both animals and people.

Armi's selections include a wide range of organic wool, threads made with recycled materials and threads dyed with environmentally friendly colors.

Organic yarns, most of which are GOTS certified, guarantee animal welfare, pesticide-free cotton, skin-friendly dyes, and the social welfare of employees. Recycled yarns, on the other hand, ensure that as much valuable fiber as possible can be reused.

From Finnish producers and dyers, Armi offers farm yarns from the Urpola farm, lovely soft sheep's wool from the domestic spinner Linkulla Spinner, stitch markers from Knits by Cindy from St. Petersburg, and hand-dyed Wool Me Once yarns from Central Ostrobothnia.

  • Armi's story

My name is Else and I am the founder of the yarn store Armi. I have been doing handicrafts all my life and also studied and sometimes taught them. In the fall of 2023, I jumped from the school world into entrepreneurship with the aim of bringing the best possible yarn store and knitters' own living room to Eastern Helsinki.

For me, Armi is a story about slowing down, the sense of meaning that craft brings, and the power of the craft community on social media. I want to thank every knitter for maintaining a great traditional technique, always creating new dimensions to it.

A warm welcome to the yarn shop Armi!
