Knitting for Olive Augusta Dress

Augusta Dress is a simple dress in stockinette stitch with 3/4 length sleeves, a gathered yoke and a ruffle along the bottom edge. The dress’ loose fit provides the child with enough room to play and move. It is worked seamlessly from the top down using 1 strand of Merino, Cotton Merino or Pure Silk.

You start working back and forth to create the keyhole opening at back-neck, before you continue in the round. I-cord edges finish both the neckline and cuffs.

Yarn: Knitting for Olive Merino, Cotton Merino or Pure Silk (250 m [273 yd] / 50 g [1.8 oz]), fingering-weight yarn, 3 (3) // 4 (4, 5, 6) balls.

Needles: 3 mm / US2.5 circular and double-pointed needles, or in size to obtain gauge

Gauge (after blocking): 28 sts and 38 rows = 10 cm [4”] in st st with 3 mm / US2.5 needles
