PetiteKnit Poppy Tee is a short-sleeved sweater that is knitted from the top down.
The knitting pattern is an A5-sized high-quality print magazine. The pattern is available in both English and Finnish .
The Poppy Tee is started by working the top of the back yoke with increases. Then, pick up stitches for the straw from the top edge of the back yoke. For the rest of the yoke, pick up stitches from the shoulder and work it back and forth on circular needle, then in the round. The body is worked in the round on circular needle. The sleeves are worked in the round on double pointed needles or with circular needle loops. Finally, the fold-over neckline is worked.
Make a sample patch first so you know how to choose the right needle size for the density. Wash and stretch the patch before measuring, as fabric knitted with the recommended threads may stretch when washed.
Size selection guide
The shirt has about 5 cm of slack, meaning that its circumference should be about 5 cm larger than your bust circumference. Sizes XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL) 3XL (4XL) 5XL are designed to fit a bust circumference of 80–85 (85–90) 90–95 (95–100) 100–110 (110–120) 120–130 (130–140) 140–150 cm. The measurements of the finished shirt are given on the front page of the pattern. Please note that the measurements will only match if you follow the given knitting density. Measure yourself before starting the work so that you know how to choose the right size. Example: if your chest circumference (or the widest part of your upper body) is 90 cm, choose size S. The chest circumference of a size S shirt is 96 cm, so in this case there would be 6 cm of room to spare.
