Light and luxurious silk yarn for combining with other yarns
Isager Mulberry Silk is a refined two-ply 100% silk yarn. This lace-weight silk yarn is particularly recommended for knitting in combination with other yarns. Mulberry Silk instantly adds luxurious softness and an elegant look to knits, as silk creates a beautiful lustrous surface and a sophisticated feel in garments.
Mulberry Silk is especially suitable for combining with, for example, Isager Palet yarn (100% cotton), because silk adds a beautiful sheen and a cool, pleasant feel to matte yarns.
Another good option is to combine Mulberry Silk with a wool yarn such as Isager's Alpaca 1 yarn (100% alpaca). When knitted with wool yarns, luxurious silk yarn adds softness without the fuzziness characteristic of mohair.
Mulberry Silk is especially well-suited for light knits, scarves, and baby clothes. The yarn is spun and dyed in Italy.
