Two versions of the same dress for year-round use

Merchant & Mills Ellis & Hattie Dress is a versatile sewing pattern that includes two different dress styles for year-round wear. From the same pattern, you can sew either the classic Ellis dress or the relaxed Hattie dress.

Ellis is a beautifully fitting dress with bust darts that emphasize a feminine silhouette, waist shaping, set-in sleeves, and pockets inserted into the side seams.

Hattie is a more relaxed style with a lined bodice, a dropped waistline, and prominent patch pockets. Both styles are suitable for year-round wear depending on the fabric choice.

All seam allowances are 1.5 cm unless otherwise stated and are included in the pattern.

Sizes: Sizes 36 – 44 (UK 8 – 18).

Skill level: intermediate.

Recommended fabrics: light to medium weight woven fabrics such as linen, brushed cotton, cotton poplin, tencel, Indian handloom fabrics, fine needlecord, or cotton double gauze.
