PetiteKnit Eva Cardigan pattern

PetiteKnit Eva Cardigan is a simple, seamless top-down knitted V-neck cardigan that is easy to combine with any outfit!

The pattern for the Eva cardigan is an A5-sized high-quality print magazine. The pattern is available in both English and Finnish .

The Eva Cardigan is knitted from the top down. First, the top of the back yoke is worked back and forth and increases. Then, stitches are picked up for the straw at the top of the back yoke. Stitches are picked up from the shoulders for the rest of the yoke, which is worked with circular needles. The V-neck is shaped with increases. The lower body is worked back and forth with circular needles and the sleeves are worked in the round. Finally, stitches are picked up for the wide edge of the front pieces, which is worked in rib, K2, P2.

Size selection guide

The jacket has about 26 cm of slack in the smaller sizes and gradually less in the larger sizes. Sizes XXS (XS) S (M) L (XL) 2XL (3XL) 4XL (5XL) are designed to fit a chest circumference of 75–80 (80–85) 85–90 (90–95) 95–100 (100–110) 110–120 (120–130) 130–140 (140–150) cm. The measurements of the finished jacket are given on the front page of the pattern. Please note that the measurements will only match if you follow the given knitting density. Measure yourself before starting the work to ensure you choose the right size. Example: if your chest circumference (or the widest part of your upper body) is 90 cm, choose size S. The chest circumference of a size S jacket is 116 cm, so in this case there would be 26 cm of room to spare.

Knitting density: 20 sts x 30 rows = 10 cm x 10 cm stocking stitch on 4 mm needles

Needles: Circular needles: 4 mm / 60, 80 and/or 100 cm; 3.5 mm / 40, 80 and/or 100 cm

Double pointed needles: 4 mm and 3.5 mm (unless you are knitting in loops)

Supplies: 550–600 (600) 600 (650) 650 (700) 750 (800) 850 (900) g Sandnes Garn Peer Gynt (50 g = 91 m); 4 buttons (Ø = 25–28 mm)

Tip: Alternatively, you can replace the yarn with Järbon Select no 6 yarn.
