PetiteKnit Ivy Top is a beautiful summer knit top. The knitting pattern is a high-quality A5-sized print magazine in Finnish .
The Ivy Top is worked top down. The first part of the piece is worked with shoulder increases and shortened rows. The upper parts of the front and back pieces are then worked separately back and forth. The front and back pieces are joined at the armpits and the body is worked in the round with circular needles.
Make a swatch first so you know how to choose the right needle size. Wash the swatch before measuring, as the recommended yarn will stretch with washing and use.
Size selection guide
The circumference of the top should be about 6 cm smaller than your bust circumference (so-called negative slack). Sizes XXS (XS) S (M) L (XL) 2XL (3XL) 4XL (5XL) are designed to fit a bust circumference of 75–80 (80–85) 85–90 (90–95) 95–100 (100–110) 110–120 (120–130) 130–140 (140–150) cm. The measurements of the finished top are given on the front page of the pattern (note that the measurements are only valid when using the specified knitting density). Measure yourself before starting work to ensure you choose the right size. Example: if your bust (or the widest part of your upper body) is 90 cm, choose size S. The bust circumference of a size S top is 84 cm, which is 6 cm less than your bust circumference.
