PetiteKnit Maggie Cardigan is a stylish cardigan, which can be made with either long or short sleeves.
The knitting pattern is an A5-sized high-quality print magazine. The pattern is available in both English and Finnish .
Maggie Cardigan is knitted from the top down. First, the upper part of the back piece is knitted back and forth and shaped with increases. Then each shoulder is knitted separately from the stitches picked up from the back piece. From the shoulders, stitches are picked up for the rest of the yoke and the body, which are knitted back and forth with circular needles. The sleeves are knitted in the round with double pointed needles or long circular needles, looped. Finally, the edging is knitted on the front edges and neckline.
Knit a sample patch before starting to know if the needle size is right.
Size guide
The jacket has about 5 cm of allowance, meaning that its circumference should be about 5 cm larger than your own chest circumference. Sizes XXS (XS) S (M) L (XL) 2XL (3XL) 4XL (5XL) are designed to correspond to a chest circumference of 75–80 (80–85) 85–90 (90–95) 95–100 (100–110) 110–120 (120–130) 130–140 (140–150) cm. The measurements of the finished jacket are given on the front page of the pattern. Please note that the measurements will only match if you follow the given knitting density. Measure yourself before starting the work so that you know how to choose the right size. Example: if your chest circumference (or the widest part of your upper body) is 90 cm, choose size S. The chest circumference of a size S jacket is 96 cm, so in this case there would be 6 cm of room to spare.
