PetiteKnit Terrazzo Neck Junior knitting pattern

PetiteKnit Terrazzo Neck Junior is a warm and beautiful neck warmer for children. The instructions for the neck warmer are in Finnish and are printed in A5 size.

Terrazzo Neck Junior is started from the back piece, worked upwards and over the shoulders and down the front piece. An opening is formed at the neckline, and the stitches picked up from the edge of the opening are used to knit a polo collar. The back piece of the neck piece is square and the front piece is trapezoidal. The pattern uses Italian cast-on and Italian cast-off.

Start by knitting a swatch to help you estimate the needle size you will need to achieve the correct gauge. Wet and stretch the swatch before calculating the gauge.

Knitting density: 17 sts x 24 rows = 10 cm x 10 cm stocking stitch on 4.5 mm needles after wetting and stretching 20–22 sts x 24 rows = 10 cm x 10 cm twisted rib stitch (k1 twisted, p1 twisted) on 4.5 mm needles after wetting and stretching (knitting density for the polo collar)

Needles: Circular needles: 4.5 mm / 40 and 60 or 80 cm

Yarn: 100 g Sandnes Garn Double Sunday (50 g = 108 m) or Filcolana Peruvian Highland Wool (50 g = 100 m) and 25 g Sandnes Yarn Tynn Silk Mohair (25 g = 212 m) or Sysleriget Silk Mohair (50 g = 420 m) or Isager Yarn Silk Mohair (25 g = 212 m) together
