Sandnes Garn Rookie Sweater Paljett Edition knitting pattern

Sandnes Garn Rookie Sweater is a beginner-friendly sweater knitted from the top down with raglan increases.

This soft and shimmering sweater is knitted using both Sandnes Garn Ballerina Chunky Mohair and Paljett yarns, holding one strand of each together. The end result is an eye-catching yet versatile garment that works just as well for everyday wear as it does for festive occasions.

Tip: Chunky Mohair can be perfectly substituted with two strands of Sandnes Garn Tynn Silk Mohair yarn.

The Rookie Sweater begins at the neckline, and the yoke is first worked back and forth while making increases for the neckline and raglan sleeves. After this, the work is joined and continued in the round. Once the raglan increases are complete, the body and sleeves are separated and worked individually. The neckline trim completes the sweater.

Thanks to its clear construction and the use of 7 mm needles, the Rookie Sweater is well-suited as a first knitting project. It is a lovely choice when you want to try knitting with sequin yarn and create a soft, shimmering sweater relatively quickly.
