The most beautiful cardigans for spring are made now β discover timeless favorites and new arrivals
In March, the days grow longer, the light increases, and dressing becomes lighter. Although winter is slowly retreating, warmth is still needed. A cardigan is a reliable spring garment: it can be thrown over a dress, paired with jeans, or slipped under a coat on cooler days. And now, if ever, is the perfect time to start knitting one.
I've compiled four lovely cardigans in this post, all of which have sample pieces available at Armi's store. Welcome to try them on and get inspired! π«

April Cardigan β a minimalist and elegant classic
PetiteKnit April Cardigan is the perfect combination of lightness and classic style. This cardigan has a beautifully airy look and a timeless silhouette that works year after year. I knitted my own April cardigan using Knitting for Olive's Merino and Soft Silk Mohair yarns in the shade Unicorn Purple. The result, if I do say so myself, was gorgeous! This is exactly the kind of cardigan you want to grab for a cool spring evening.

Hanni Cardigan β a soft and stylish staple knit
Knitters & Friends Hanni Cardigan charms with its softness and simplicity. This cardigan is both modern and classic, and it pairs perfectly with any outfit. I knitted my own cardigan with BC Garn's Loch Lomond and Isager's Silk Mohair yarns. If you didn't know, these yarns can always replace worsted-weight yarn recommendations in knitting patterns.
If you're looking for a beautiful, reliable knit for everyday wear, the Hanni Cardigan is definitely it. Unfortunately, this pattern is only available in English, but don't be intimidated by the language, as the pattern is very beginner-friendly.

PetiteKnit Scarlet Cardigan β a relaxed and stylish everyday savior
PetiteKnit Scarlet Cardigan is a trendy cardigan with a V-neck. Its fit and details make it extremely versatile: the Scarlet Cardigan works great for both everyday wear and more formal occasions. The sample piece at Armi's store is knitted with Sandnes Garn Double Sunday yarn, but you can knit it with any DK-weight yarn or by combining two fingering-weight yarns if you wish. I especially recommend the Scarlet Cardigan for experienced knitters.

Eva Cardigan β a versatile and spring-like choice
PetiteKnit Eva Cardigan is a safe choice if you love a simple and timeless style. The Eva Cardigan is wonderfully versatile β it works both buttoned up and casually layered open. Thanks to its simplicity, the Eva cardigan is easy to combine with any outfit and it provides lovely warmth without feeling heavy. This will be a reliable knit that will stay with you year after year!
Armi's sample piece is knitted with Sandnes Garn Peer Gynt yarn. Peer Gynt is a great alternative if you don't want the fluffiness of silk mohair yarns in your knit.

I hope you found your favorite in the blog! Who doesn't love cardigans? They are wonderfully practical and warm, but at the same time stylish and airy.
A warm welcome to Armi to browse the sample pieces and choose your yarns. I'm happy to help you find the right shade and yarns! π
Wishing you a wonderful anticipation of spring!
