Lace-weight yarns are very thin and light yarns, especially suitable for lace knitting and summer clothing. These yarns create airy , light and beautiful knitted surfaces. They are often combined with another, thicker yarn or knitted in double or even triple layers.

Lace yarns knitted in a single strand are perfect for knitting lace scarves and lightweight garments , for example. Please note that lace-weight yarns knitted in a single strand can be challenging for beginners due to their thinness, but with practice they become easier to handle.

Lace-weight yarn when knitted twice is equivalent to fingering-weight yarn, while lace-weight yarn combined with fingering-weight yarn usually corresponds to sport- or dk-weight yarn .
