Collection: Knitting for Olive yarns

Knitting For Olive is a Danish family business based in Copenhagen that produces high-quality, environmentally friendly yarns made from pure natural fibers. Knitting for Olive's yarns are produced responsibly and ethically without harmful chemicals, respecting both animals and our environment. The company's goal is to be as open and honest as possible in all its operations. This is how Knitting for Olive aims to raise awareness of animal welfare in the yarn manufacturing process.

Knitting for Olive's yarns are made of 100% natural materials and are durable and of high quality. Knitting for Olive's color chart is famous for its numerous well-matched colors, but there are also wonderful, even bright shades. Knitting for Olive's selection includes merino wool, silk yarn and cashmere yarn. In Armi's selection, you can also find Knitting for Olive's knitting patterns in English. All Knitting for Olive yarns are STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® certified.

Knitting for Olive's yarns are traceable, which means that the manufacturer knows exactly which farm the yarns come from. Knitting for Olive's merino wool comes from Patagonian mulesing-free sheep and the mohair from South African goats. The wool and mohair are certified, which means that the manufacturer follows strict regulations to ensure the social welfare of the animals as well as the farmers.

The silk used in Knitting for Olive's yarns is ethically produced (Cruelty Free). Silk is made from silk fibers that have been collected and produced into thread only after the snails have been allowed to develop into adult silk moths and they have flown away. This allows the larvae to complete their life cycle instead of killing the silkworms in the process as in conventional silk production.
