The mohair in Knitting for Olive Soft Silk Mohair comes from angora goats that graze in South Africa. The yarn is locally produced and the mohair is certified according to the RMS standard (Responsible Mohair Standard). The silk used in the yarn is made from silk fibers that have been collected and produced into yarn only after the snails have been allowed to develop into adult silk moths and they have flown away. This enables the life cycle of the larvae to be completed and makes the yarn ethically produced (Cruelty Free). Soft Silk Mohair yarn is also STANDARD 100 OEKO-TEX® certified.
