Collection: Aran

Aran yarns offer a great combination of thickness, warmth and texture, making them ideal for a wide range of knitting projects. Aran yarns are popular with both beginners and more experienced knitters.

Aran yarns are slightly thinner in thickness than bulky yarns, but thicker than worsted yarns. They are a good choice for projects that require medium strength yarn. The thick structure of the Aran yarn brings out various surface knitting patterns, such as braids, beautifully. This makes the yarn popular for knitting thick sweaters, scarves and blankets, for example.

A typical knitting density for Aran strong yarns is about 18-20 stitches per 10 centimeters when using 4.5-5.5 millimeter needles. Aran yarn can also be used to replace worsted yarn if the goal is a thicker and tighter knit.
