The PetiteKnit Celeste Sweater pattern is an A5-sized high-quality print magazine. The pattern is available in both English and Finnish .
The pattern uses Sandnes Garn's Peer Gynt yarn. Alternatively, you can replace the yarn with Järbo Select no 6 yarn.
The Celeste Sweater is knitted top down with a round yoke. First, the neckline is knitted, and then the yoke is knitted in the round in five colors according to the pattern. After the pattern, the back is shaped with shortened rows. The body and sleeves are knitted in the round with stockinette stitch and rib edges.
Note that it is best to knit the patterned section with needles 0.5–1 mm thicker to keep the density the same as the stockinette stitch. So make a sample patch of both patterned and stockinette stitch.
Size selection guide
The shirt has about 15 cm of slack, meaning its circumference should be about 15 cm larger than your bust circumference. Sizes XXS (XS) S (M) L (XL) 2XL (3XL) 4XL (5XL) are designed to fit a bust circumference of 75–80 (80–85) 85–90 (90–95) 95–100 (100–110) 110–120 (120–130) 130–140 (140–150) cm.
The measurements of the finished shirt are given on the front page of the pattern. Measure yourself before you start working so that you know how to choose the right size. Example: if your chest circumference (or the widest part of your upper body) is 85 cm, choose size XS. The chest circumference of a size XS shirt is 100 cm, so in this case there would be 15 cm of slack.
