Isager Jensen is a DK-strength 100% wool yarn.
3-ply Jensen is firm and evenly spun, and is great for cable shirts and embroidered knits, for example, as the yarn brings out the texture beautifully. Jensen yarn is extremely durable and wears beautifully. This classic wool yarn is great for both innerwear and outerwear.
The white wool in the yarn comes from New Zealand, and the brown and grey wools used in the s-colours come from European Gotland sheep. The New Zealand supplier is part of the Wool Integrity programme, which ensures that animal welfare, environmental sustainability and traceability principles are met.
Jensen yarn is chemically dyed, but is based on a selection of natural colors that knitting designer Åse Lund Jensen chose for her yarn. Colors 0, 0s, 2s and 3s are undyed and unbleached.
Isager is a Danish company that has been supplying high-quality natural fiber yarns and knitting patterns loved by knitters around the world since 1977. The popular yarns and knitting patterns are sold in selected stores in Denmark and internationally. Isager's founder, Marianne Isager, and her daughter and company partner Helga Isager are the authors of popular knitting books.
