Isager Sock Yarn 50g

Isager Sock Yarn is a fingering-strength sock yarn that contains 40% alpaca, 40% merino wool and 20% nylon. This reinforced sock yarn is particularly high quality and soft and is machine washable. The recycled nylon used in the yarn is an industrial surplus product that would normally be thrown away.

The alpaca and merino wool in Sock Yarn are treated with a special Easy Wash process. Easy Wash is an environmentally friendly alternative to the traditional chlorine treatment used to make the fibers machine washable without shrinking. The Easy Wash process is a treatment with environmentally friendly oxidants, originating in Germany and certified according to REACH, Oeko-Tex and ZDH standards. This means that no harmful chemicals are released into the environment during the treatment, which is not the case with most machine washable yarns on the market.

The yarn is spun and dyed in Peru.

Needle recommendation : 2.5-3.5 mm

Knitting density: 24-28 sts = 10 cm

Care instructions: Thanks to the Easy Wash treatment of wool and alpaca, the yarn does not pill in the wash and is machine washable at up to 30 degrees.
