From Armi's selection, Wooldreamers Mota is a great yarn for this.
The Dagmar Jacket is knitted top down in stockinette stitch. First, the back yoke is knitted flat, which is shaped by increases. Then each shoulder is knitted separately from the stitches picked up from the back piece. The body is knitted flat. The sleeves are knitted in the round with circular needle from the stitches picked up from the armholes. Finally, the button placket and the rib at the neckline are knitted.
Make a sample patch first so you know how to choose the right needle size. You can make a sample patch according to the diagram on page 12.
Size selection guide
The jacket has approximately 26 cm of allowance in the smaller sizes and gradually less in the larger sizes. Sizes XXS (XS) S (M) L (XL) 2XL (3XL) 4XL (5XL) are designed to correspond to a chest circumference of 75–80 (80–85) 85–90 (90–95) 95–100 (100–110) 110–120 (120–130) 130–140 (140–150) cm. The measurements of the finished jacket are given on the front page of the pattern. Measure yourself before starting work so that you can choose the right size. Example: if your chest circumference (or the widest part of your upper body) is 90 cm, choose size S. The chest circumference of a size S jacket is 116 cm, so in this case there would be 26 cm of allowance.
