PetiteKnit The Lyon Sweater Junior knitting pattern is a high-quality A5-sized print magazine in Finnish.

The Lyon Sweater Junior is knitted from the top down. First, the upper part of the back piece is knitted back and forth with increases. Then, stitches are picked up for the straw from the slanted sections of the back piece. From the shoulders, stitches are picked up for the rest of the yoke and the body, which are knitted back and forth with circular needles first and then in the round. The sleeves are knitted in the round with double pointed needles or circular needles by looping. Finally, the fold-over neckline is knitted in rib. The stripes are knitted from the middle of the yoke downwards.

Size selection guide

The shirt has about 18 cm of slack, meaning its circumference should be about 18 cm larger than the child's chest circumference. Sizes 1–2 (2–3) 3–4 (4–5) 5–6 (6–7) 7–8 (8–9) 9–10 (10–11) 11–12 (12–13) 13–14 are designed to correspond to a chest circumference of 53 (54) 56 (57) 59 (62) 64 (68) 72 (75) 78 (80) 82 cm. The measurements of the finished shirt are stated on the front page of the pattern (note: the measurements are only valid if you follow the given knitting density). Example: if the chest circumference of the shirt recipient is 62 cm, choose size 6–7 (years). The chest circumference of a size 6–7 shirt is 80 cm, which means that in this case there would be 18 cm of room to move.
If the recipient's chest circumference and the size for age do not match, you can adjust the length of the garment as needed, as well as if the child is shorter or taller than average.
