The PetiteKnit Moby Neck knitting pattern is an A5-sized high-quality print magazine in English.
The collar is knitted with two threads at the same time. The pattern uses Sandnes Garn's Tynn Silk Mohair thread. Alternatively, the thread can be replaced with, for example: Kremke Soul Wool's Silky Kid yarn. As a second yarn to knit with the silk mohair yarn , Sandnes Garn Sunday or BC Garn BIo Shetland yarn are good choices.
Moby Neck is worked in texture and cable patterns up the back, up and over the shoulders, and down across the front. An opening for the head is worked, where stitches are picked up and knitted along for the turtleneck collar. Moby Neck is shaped like a square at the back and like a trapezoid at the front.
The pattern uses the techniques Italian cast on and Italian bind off.
Knit a swatch before starting the project to check if the recommended needle size gives you the correct gauge. Make sure to wash your swatch before measuring the gauge.
