The pattern for the PetiteKnit Stockholm Sweater is an A5-sized high-quality print magazine. The instructions are available in both English and Finnish .
The Stockholm Sweater is knitted top down in stockinette stitch with double lace-strength silk mohair. First, the upper part of the back piece is knitted flat, after which stitches are picked up for the shoulders from the cast-on edge. The shoulders are knitted separately and shaped with shortened rows. The front and back pieces are joined at the armpits and the lower part of the body is knitted in the round. The stitches for the sleeves are picked up from the armholes, and the sleeves are knitted in the round with double pointed needles or circular needles by looping. Finally, the stitches are picked up for the neckline edge. The edge is folded and purled. No other finishing is needed. First, knit a sample patch and tighten it while wet so that you know how to choose the right needle size.
Size guide
The shirt has about 15 cm of slack, meaning that its circumference should be 15 cm larger than your bust. Sizes XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL) 3XL (4XL) 5XL are designed to fit a bust of 80–85 (85–90) 90–95 (95–100) 100–110 (110–120) 120–130 (130–140) 140–150 cm. The measurements of the finished shirt are given on the front page of the pattern. Measure yourself before you start working so that you can choose the right size. Example: if your bust (or the widest part of your upper body) is 90 cm, choose size S. The bust of a size S shirt is 105 cm, meaning that there would be 15 cm of slack in this case.
