PetiteKnit Valerie Blouse is a luxurious cardigan from the highly popular Danish knitwear designer PetiteKnit. The knitting pattern is an A5-sized high-quality print magazine. The pattern is available in both English and Finnish.
The Valerie Blouse is knitted from top to bottom in one piece, flat, like a cardigan. The front is open diagonally and closed with buttons. The sleeve increases are knitted first, followed by the raglan increases. The neckline is shaped with shortened rows. The sleeves are knitted in the round with double pointed needles or circular needles, looping. Make a swatch first so you know how to choose the right needle size. Wash the swatch before measuring, as the recommended yarn will stretch when washed and used.
Size guide
The circumference of the sweater should be about 2 cm smaller than your bust circumference (so-called negative slack). Sizes XXS (XS) S (M) L (XL) 2XL (3XL) 4XL (5XL) are designed to fit a bust circumference of 75–80 (80–85) 85–90 (90–95) 95–100 (100–110) 110–120 (120–130) 130–140 (140–150) cm. The measurements of the finished sweater are given on the front page of the pattern (note that the measurements are only valid when using the specified knitting density). Measure yourself before starting work to ensure you choose the right size. Example: if your bust (or the widest part of your upper body) is 90 cm, choose size S. The bust of a size S blouse is 89 cm, which is 1 cm less than your bust.
