Cast on stitches for the back piece neckline and continue increasing on both sides to form a European shoulder line. Work the back piece down to the armpits. Pick up stitches from each shoulder for the left and right front pieces. Work the front pieces according to the diagram down to the armpits, at the same time increasing stitches for the v-neck. Join the front and back pieces and finish with rib.

Pick up stitches along the edge of each armhole for the edging, and stitches along the front edges and back edge of the neckline for the button placket.

Needles: 3½ mm and 5 mm
