Silk is particularly suitable for summer use, as silk can absorb moisture up to 30% of its weight and still feel dry against the skin. At the same time, however, silk also has insulating properties like wool, which is why silk is able to retain heat even in cold weather without grinding its wearer. Knitting for Olive Pure Silk yarn is made from silk fibers that have been collected and produced into yarn only after the snails have been allowed to develop into adult silk moths and have flown away. This enables the life cycle of the larvae to be completed and makes the yarn ethically produced (Cruelty Free).
