WoolDreamers Manchelopis 100 g
WoolDreamers' Manchelopis is a non-spun wool yarn made from 100% Manchega wool. The legendary Manchego cheese is also made from the same breed of sheep. The colors of the Manchelopis yarn and the untwisted strips make this "cheese" a high-quality material from which you can create unique knits. Manchelopis is a soft airy yarn and one of the most famous products of the WoolDreamers brand.
Manchelopis - the non-spinning, two-layer structure of the yarn allows it to be worked in several different sizes, depending on the desired end result. If you want to make knitting easier and knit it in two strands, its flowability is 230 m / 100 g. Skilled knitters can also knit it with one thread, which gives it twice the flow rate of 460 m / 100 g (fingering). When knitting with only one thread, you should also add a thin lace-strength thread, for example Silk Mohair , to facilitate the durability of the fading thread.
Manchelopis is produced entirely in the Castilla-La Mancha region, which is also the home of the manufacturer of the WoolDreamers brand. The unique yarn has been created to honor the local Manchega breed of sheep from the area. Manchega sheep are usually bred for dairy rather than wool. With Manchelopis yarn, WoolDreamers aims to highlight the value of this precious natural fiber.
WoolDreamers is a Spanish yarn brand founded by Spanish Ramón Cobo. Cobo's dream was to supplant the fiber market of synthetic materials with organically produced fibers. WoolDreamers is an ethical yarn brand whose core values of ecology, high quality yarn and animal welfare reflect this dream.
WoolDreamers - the wool of the yarns comes from mulesing-free sheep that graze freely in Spain, whose well-being is carefully taken care of. WoolDreamers' ongoing dedication to sheep welfare allows us to source the highest quality fibers from each breed of sheep.
